描述
气缸垫，又叫气缸衬垫，位于气缸盖与气缸体之间，其功用是填补气缸体和气缸盖之间的微观孔隙，保证结合面处有良好的密封性，进而保证燃烧室的密封，防止气缸漏气和水套漏水。
按所用材料的不同，气缸垫可分为金属-石棉衬垫、金属-复合材料衬垫和全金属衬垫等多种。金属-复合材料衬垫和全金属衬垫均属无石棉气缸衬垫，因没有石棉夹层，从而可消除衬垫中气囊的产生，也减少了工业污染，是当前的发展方向。
金属-石棉衬垫
金属-石棉衬垫以石棉为基体，外包铜皮或钢皮，另一种金属-石棉衬垫是以扎孔钢板为骨架，外覆石棉及粘结剂压制而成，所有金属-石棉衬垫均在气缸孔、冷却液孔和机油孔周围用金属板包边。为了防止高温燃气烧蚀衬垫，还可在金属包边内置入金属架加强环。金属-石棉衬垫具有良好的弹性和耐热性，能重复使用多次。若将石棉板在耐热的粘合剂中浸渍以后，则可增加气缸垫的强度。
金属-复合材料衬垫
金属复合材料衬垫是在钢板的两面粘覆耐热、耐压和耐腐蚀的新型复合材料，在气缸孔、冷却液孔和机油孔周围用不锈钢皮包边，
